Seasonal Employment

Positions are filled by interview only. Applications may be filled out in advance.

Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30a – 4:00p.

Interview Dates & Times: May 5 - May 22, 2:30pm-5pm
(All applicants 18 and up need to bring 2 forms of ID to interview)
(All applicants under 18 need to bring SS Card and Working Papers)

Returning Employees: You may send in application at any time. 
Please inform office of where you worked last year, along with
an indication of where you'd like to be placed in 2009. 
You will still be required to provide necessary ID as well as
your Medical Form and a Mandatory Dates paper.

All Positions Require Costumes
(These will be provided to you by the Festival and will
become your responsibility for the season)

Food Booth Positions

Cooking:
This position includes preparation and cooking of food in a high volume environment.
Experience is beneficial and preferred. If you don't have the know-how but are willing to learn,
we will give you the training tools necessary for gaining a successful work experience.

Preparation:
This position includes preparation and/or dishing up food for our customers. Experience is a plus
but not necessary, just the desire to learn and present our food and beverages with pride.

Service:
This position includes serving food at the front counter, taking customer's orders,
and making change. We will teach you how to interact with our guests with a Renaissance Flair.
If you are looking for a position where you get to wear a costume and have fun with customers,
this is the job for you. Basic math skills essential for this position.

Pub (Drynk Booth)

Preparation:
This position includes pouring of beverages for our customers.
Experience is a plus but not necessary, just the desire to learn and present
our beverages with pride.

Service:
This position includes serving beverages at the front counter, taking customer's orders,
and making change. We will teach you how to interact with our guests with Renaissance Flair.
If you are looking for a position where you get to wear a costume and have fun with
customers, this is the job for you. Basic math skills are essential for this position.

Parking

Employees courteously and efficiently guide vehicles into parking areas.
We will provide the equipment necessary to do your job.

Security

This position is responsible for the safety and comfort of our guests. You will assist in finding
lost children and parents. You will be available to provide directions and the first to
respond to medical needs and watch for hazards. We will provide the shirt and pants of the
costume for this position. CPR, EMT, or police/security experience is a plus, though not
a requirement. Security applicants must be over 21.

Maintenance

Employees are assigned to an area to keep it free of litter and to pull bags of trash once they
are full. You will also be responsible for keeping any nearby food booths clear of full bags of trash as well as recyclables.

Gate

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and work at the Festival's
main entry front gate. The position is responsible for scanning tickets, greeting customers
as they enter and wishing them well as the leave.

Information Booth

This position requires a good knowledge about the Festival and some of its surrounding areas.
This person must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. It is also very important that
the individual is friendly and welcoming.

Remembrance Gift Shoppe

The ideal candidate will have a background in retail sales, however it is not essential since we will
teach what you need to do your job efficiently. The individual will handle a cash register as
well as handle all customer sales duties. Great position for a smart and outgoing personality.

Ticket Sales

Employees will sell tickets through an automated system.
Must be sociable, welcoming, and able to handle minor customer service issues.

Supervisory Positions

There are supervisory positions available for almost all of the previously mentioned jobs.
Please inquire about these positions during your interview.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Privies

This position requires you to keep privies (bathrooms) clear of all debris, privies stocked,
hand out towels, and to greet customers. Incentive...the more courteous you are, and the cleaner
the privies, the more the patrons reward your efforts!
