The Knights

Elizabethan Knights live to serve Her Majesty. As valiant warriors, only he who is brave, noble, and courtly can hold the honorable title of Knighthood. Governed by strict Codes of Conduct and rules of chivalry, Elizabethan Knights were both fearless in combat and courteous gentlemen off the battlefield.

The Knights of Warwick have prepared all year to joust for the Queen’s affections (and the crowd’s delight)  in a grand Joust A’ Plaisance. Watch as they risk life and limb to emerge as the victor!

A Knight’s Duty:

  • Knights are an important part of the country’s military power.
  • The most charismatic and experienced Knights travelled to foreign lands and served as ambassadors.
  • Wore layers of armor and chainmail including Sabatons for the feet, chest armor, back armor, face protection and weaponry.
